Sterling Automotive was set up by Managing Director, Patrick Warner in December 2006. Joining Patrick from day 1 were Chief Technician, Kevin Murday and Customer Care Advisors John Adair & Michael Fuller (both former Sales & Service Managers from the former dealer network respectively). Kevin has worked with MG and Rover cars for over 20 years, training as an Apprentice Technician with Austin Rover (as it was known then) before reaching the level of Master Technician. Kevin has completed all of the specialist courses with MG Rover including Rover 75/MG ZT Specialist Technician, MGF/TF Specialist and the launch courses for the Rover 75 V8 & MG ZT260 models.
In February 2007, Kevin was joined by Paul Gorringe as Specialist Technician. Paul and Kevin were apprentices at the same dealership group in Brighton several years ago and specialised in Jaguar Cars before reaching the level of Master Technician. Paul also went on to VAG where he widened his knowledge to include Volkswagen and Skoda cars. In July 2007, the amount of business being undertaken had reached such a level where managing the finances and paperwork needed more focus, so Patrick's wife, Niomie joined the company as Finance & Administration Manager.
As the business continues to grow, December 2007 saw Patrick's Dad, Paul coming out of retirement on a part-time basis to assist with the collection & delivery of customers' cars and in January 2008, 3rd Year Apprentice Technician, Charlotte Sear joined the team. Charlotte works under the supervision of Chief Technician, Kevin and will be qualified as a Service Technician in her own right by Summer 2008. Then in March 2008, former Volkswagen Technician, Fred Amos joined the team to meet the continued growing demand for our service.
One thing customers can be sure of, is that as we continue to grow, our attention remains firmly focussed on delivering the highest quality service at good value, whilst not loosing sight of the old fashioned values of honesty, fairness and courtesy which our small team strives to deliver every time.
